Make a very tasty Pumpkin Jam to serve as dessert, use the ingredients below.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pumpkin, peeled and cut into cubes

  • 500 g of sugar

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 3 cloves

  • Enough water to cover the pumpkin

Directions

  • Place the squash in a large pot and cover with water.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the squash is soft but still firm. 
    Run the water and book.
  • In another pan, mix the sugar with 1 cup of water and place over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add the cinnamon and cloves and let the mixture boil for about 5 minutes, or until it forms a thin syrup.
  • Add the cooked pumpkin to the syrup and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the pumpkin is soft and the syrup has thickened.
  • Serve the pumpkin jam cold, in a container of your choice.
