Ingredients
1 kg pumpkin, peeled and cut into cubes
500 g of sugar
1 cinnamon stick
3 cloves
Enough water to cover the pumpkin
Directions
- Place the squash in a large pot and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the squash is soft but still firm.Â
Run the water and book. - In another pan, mix the sugar with 1 cup of water and place over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the cinnamon and cloves and let the mixture boil for about 5 minutes, or until it forms a thin syrup.
- Add the cooked pumpkin to the syrup and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the pumpkin is soft and the syrup has thickened.
- Serve the pumpkin jam cold, in a container of your choice.
