Rubens «Morning of Ups and Downs» – the Japanese indie scene is really extremely interesting and diverse, and the fact that we get so little out of it in the West always saddens me. Today I want to remedy the situation somewhat by introducing you to a great young band from Tokyo whose sound doesn't fit into the usual local pigeonholes (which applies to a lot of music from Japan, which makes it so exciting for me) – on the one hand On the one hand they use the dream pop sound, but on the other hand you can also hear jazzy and math rock influences. The current single is a wonderful example of this.

Allie X «Weird World» – the Canadian singer has made a name for herself in recent years with her very 80s-influenced GothPop, which she also indulges in extensively on her new album “Girl With No Face”. Very snappy single!
