Ingredients
730 g of rump
1/2 tablespoon of salt
2 garlic cloves
Black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons (or 60 g) butter (or margarine)
half onion
2 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch (or 30g)
2 tablespoons of onion cream
200 ml dry red or wood wine
2 beef broths (prepared with 500ml of hot water)
100g mushrooms (optional)
Thread of oil (or olive oil)
Directions
- Rump steaks
- Season 730 g of rump with 1/2 tablespoon of salt;
- Add 2 cloves of garlic;
- Add black pepper to taste;

- In a pan on the fire, add oil;
- Fry the meats;
- Reserve the steaks;
- Wood sauce
- In the pan with the rest of the oil, add 2 tablespoons (or 60 g) of butter (or margarine);
- Add half a chopped onion;
- Add 2 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch (or 30g);
- Add 2 tablespoons of onion cream;
- Add 200 ml of dry red or wood wine;
- Add 2 beef broths (prepared with 500ml of hot water);
- Add 100g of mushrooms (optional);
- Let it boil until it thickens;
- Add the Madeira sauce over the rump;
- Your rump with wood sauce is ready!
