Ingredients

  • 730 g of rump

  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • Black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons (or 60 g) butter (or margarine)

  • half onion

  • 2 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch (or 30g)

  • 2 tablespoons of onion cream

  • 200 ml dry red or wood wine

  • 2 beef broths (prepared with 500ml of hot water)

  • 100g mushrooms (optional)

  • Thread of oil (or olive oil)

Directions

  • Rump steaks
  • Season 730 g of rump with 1/2 tablespoon of salt;
  • Add 2 cloves of garlic;
  • Add black pepper to taste;
  • mix;
  • In a pan on the fire, add oil;
  • Fry the meats;
  • Reserve the steaks;
  • Wood sauce
  • In the pan with the rest of the oil, add 2 tablespoons (or 60 g) of butter (or margarine);
  • Add half a chopped onion;
  • Add 2 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch (or 30g);
  • Add 2 tablespoons of onion cream;
  • Add 200 ml of dry red or wood wine;
  • Add 2 beef broths (prepared with 500ml of hot water);
  • Add 100g of mushrooms (optional);
  • Let it boil until it thickens;
  • Add the Madeira sauce over the rump;
