Jimmy Wardenscreenwriter of Cocaine Bearhe is making his debut as director with the comedy thriller Borderlinestarring Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not, The Babysitter, Scream VI), and produced by the team behind Barbie, Saltburn, y Promising Young Woman.
Warden also wrote the script of Borderlinewhich appeared in the famous Black List in Hollywood, a highly appreciated annual survey, which lists the most liked scripts in the industry.
The marketing campaign starts with the premiere of the first official trailer of the one described as a “Violent romantic comedy”in which Weaving plays a pop superstar of the 90s, trapped in an twisted struggle for survival.
The cast includes Eric Dane (Euphoria, Grey’s Anatomy), Ray Nicholson (Smile 2), Alba Baptista (Mrs Harris Goes to Paris) y Jimmie Fails (The Last Black Man in San Francisco).

Synopsis:
“The writer of Cocaine Bear is back with another twisted story.
“Paul (Ray Nicholson), a violent sociopath, escapes a psychiatric hospital and embarks on a dangerous killing. His goal: Sofia (Samara Weaving), a world -famous pop star. An obsessive fanatic takes Sofia hostage at her own home, delirily believing that they are going to get married.
“Paul is desperate to demonstrate his dedication, but Sofia is just trying to survive the night. As Paul becomes more deranged, his fantasy becomes more dangerous. With the help of his loyal bodyguard (Eric Dane), Sofia must fight not only for his life, but for his sanity, and escape the sinister control of his stalker and his growing group of accomplices. ”
The project marks a new collaboration between Warden and Weaving, since he wrote the script of the Slasher sequel The Babysitter: Killer Queenstarring Weaving.
Borderline It is produced by Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara of Luckychap Entertainment, Hadeel Red from Network to Entertainment, and Brian Duffield.
