'Sterling Point' is renewed for a second season by Prime Video

Young adult drama Sterling Pointhas been renewed for a second season by Prime Video.

The announcement was made by the streamer during Thursday morning.

Sterling Point premiered on Prime Video on August 5 and quickly became one of the platform's most notable series.

Created, directed and executive produced by Megan Park (My Old Ass, The Fallout) –who is also the showrunner–, the plot follows Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin), a 17-year-old girl who grew up in New York with her twin brother and her loving adoptive father. Annie has a strict plan for her life, which falls apart when she inherits her mysterious grandfather's island in Canada. There she discovers new friendships, budding romances and hidden family secrets.

In addition to Rubin (The Idea of You), the cast is made up Amélie Hoeferle (Night Swim), Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie (Premier trio), Daniel Quinn Toye (Pressure), Bo Bragason (King & Conqueror), Keen Ruffalo (Nimrods), Jay Duplass (Dying for Sex), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), Nikko Angelo Hinayo (Davey & Jonesie’s Locker), Mabel Strachan (The Ridge), Elle-Maija Tailfeathers (The Abandons) y Missy Pyle (The Sex Lives of College Girls).

Regarding the renewal, Park shared the following words:

“It has been an immense joy to see the appreciation and affection that the series has generated. We worked very hard to make it as authentic as possible, and seeing the audience's response has been exciting. We can't wait to delve deeper into these characters and deliver the best second season ever!”

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, executive producers and co-showrunners, as well as executive producers Tom Ackerley and LuckyChap's Dani Gorin, chimed in with the following:
