The Dharma Chain «Her Head» – sometimes the YouTube algorithm that suggests something completely unknown is great. Yesterday I was made aware of the Australian band The Dharma Chain, now living in Berlin. I was immediately drawn to their psychedelic, 60’s-heavy sound, sometimes reminiscent of Mazzy Star, and their current single has a good chance of making it onto my annual charts. At the beginning of the year her album “Angry Young Folk” was released (which I haven’t heard myself yet).
Alvvays «Very Online Guy» – when the canadian band first appeared on the indie pop stage a few years ago, they were everybody’s darling. No wonder, with the beautiful melodies and brisk guitars. Now the new album «Blue Rev» is out, which has this cool song on it (the video is also very appropriate).
