Last Sunday, October 23, 2022, HBO y HBO Max aired the tenth and final episode of the first season of House of the Dragonand continuing the trend shown in each of the episodes of this season, the rating is huge.

The second season of House of the Dragon was launched after the release of the first episode, and its filming will start in early 2023.

House of the Dragon sets its plot in Westeros, 200 years prior to the events portrayed in GoT, prior to the fall of the Throne, exploring the beginning and end of House Targaryen. The first season dramatizes the events that will lead to the Dance of the Dragons, the civil war of the Targaryen dynasty.

Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) is the heiress chosen to ascend the Iron Throne, but after the death of her father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), a years-long plot is set in motion to put his half-brother Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) in the seat of power.

George R.R. Martin and Ryan County (Colony) are the co-creators and co-writers, in addition, they are the executive producers. House of the Dragon is based on the novel Fire & Blood of Martin.
