Denzel Washington is back as Robert McCall in the brutal first trailer for the action sequel, The Equalizer 3 of Antoine Fuqua y Sony Pictures.
The film lets us see McCall (Washington) looking for a change of scenery and traveling to Europe to once again demonstrate his particular sense of justice.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrible things he did in the past and finds strange solace in delivering justice on behalf of the oppressed.”
Finding himself surprisingly at home in southern Italy, he discovers that his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mob.”
The sequel will delve into Robert McCall’s mysterious past.
Fuqua directs the feature film written by Richard Wenk. Both have directed and written, respectively, the entire franchise.
Perhaps one of the things that will excite the audience the most is knowing that the film will reunite Washington with Dakota Fanningwho have not shared a screen since the acclaimed Man On Fire (2004). The rest of the cast is made up of Sonia Ammar (Scream 5), Remo Girone (Ford v Ferrari), Andrew Dodero (The Good Mothers), Eugenio Mastrandrea (From Scratch), Andrea Scarduzio (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part I), Salvatore Ruocco (Father Pio), Daniele Perrone (The mafia only kills in the summer), y Gaia Scodellaro (Lady Fox).
The first delivery, The Equalizer, released theatrically in 2014, marked a reboot of the 1980s TV series of the same name. Its plot follows McCall, a man of mysterious origin who believes that he has put his violent past behind him and has dedicated himself to a quiet new life. But when he meets Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a teenager under the control of ruthless Russian mobsters, Robert uses her formidable skills, and comes out of his self-imposed retirement, emerging as a vigilante. The sequel was released in 2018. The Equalizer 2.
The Equalizer 3 with will be released in theaters on September 1, 2023 via Universal Pictures.
