After five years of many successes and awards, the acclaimed series of HBO, Succession, It will come to an end with the fourth season.with the premiere of its first episode set for the Sunday March 26, 2023 on HBO and on HBO Max.
That’s why HBO’s marketing campaign continues with the release of a handful of character posters and a collect-it-all banner, featuring glimpses of the lead cast of the multi-Emmy-winning drama, whose story centers on the Roy family, a dysfunctional clan struggling for power and control within the global newspaper business.

The season three finale ended with the hand of Logan Roy (Brian Cox) on the shoulder of his godson Tom (Matthew Macfadyen)which suggested that Tom had betrayed his wife Shiv (Sarah Snook) and her brothers, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), and Roman (Kieran Culkin). This gesture between Logan and Tom indicated to the audience that they had acted behind the back of the three brothers who sought to block the sale of Waystar Roco to billionaire Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard). Alan Ruck y Nicholas Braun complete the main cast.
As for the series finale, the creator and showrunner, Jesse Armstrongwas in charge of confirming the news in recent weeks, saying:
“There is a promise in the title of ‘Succession’. I never thought this could last forever. The ending has always been on my mind.”
“It’s been a tough decision because the collaborations, with the cast, with my fellow writers, with [el compositor] Nick Britell and Mark Mylod and the other directors, they’ve been so good.”
“Maybe there’s something else that can be done that builds on the good of the way we’ve worked on this.”, said. “So that’s another true feeling.”
FINAL SEASON SYNOPSIS:
“The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard) is getting closer. The prospect of this seismic sale causes existential angst and family division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will be like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs a future in which its cultural and political weight is severely reduced.
The first season of Succession, broadcast in 2018, became a revelation on the small screen, and was nominated for an Emmy in 2019 (in multiple categories), and recognized by the industry with the statuette for Best Drama Series in 2020. Both Cox and Strong were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, with Strong emerging as the category winner. Braun, Culkin, Macfadyen, and Snook were nominated for Supporting Actors and Actress, respectively. Additionally, Armstrong took the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, and Cherry Jones the statuette for her role as a guest star. Director Andrij Parekh was also recognized with an Emmy for her work behind the lens.
At the 2022 Emmys ceremony, Succession won several statuettes, including Best Drama Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Macfayden), Best Script for a Drama Series, among others.
Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell are the series producers. Armstrong is the executive producer and showrunner.
The 13 Emmy Award-winning series, will premiere the first episode of its fourth and final season on March 26, 2023 on HBO and on HBO Max. The final season is made up of 10 episodes with a weekly premiere.
