The original series of HBO, Harry Potteradded three new members to the cast of its second season.

The network has found performers for the roles of Tom Riddle (also known as the young Lord Voldemort) and the house elf Dobby, in addition to having chosen a new actress for the role of Ginny Weasley.

Riddle will be played by Billy Barratt (Bring Her Back, Invasion). He is the first actor selected to play Voldemort in the HBO series. It has not yet been revealed who will be in charge of playing the adult version.

British actor and presenter Lenny Rush (A Woman of Substance) will play the role of Dobby, which will presumably be recreated using computer-generated imagery, or CGI.

The newly announced ones join Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Industry) as Gilderoy Lockhart in the second season.

Filming of the second season, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secretswill begin in the fall of this year. The release date has not been announced at this time. The first season, which adapts the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stonepremieres on December 25 of this year on HBO and HBO Max.

Francesca Gardiner (Succession, Killing Eve, His Dark Materials) She is the screenwriter and showrunner of the series. Mark Mylod (Game of Thrones) is the director of several episodes and executive producer.

For the second season he joined Jon Brown as coshowrunner. Brown was one of the writers of the first season.
