Warner Bros. and Legendary's marketing campaign for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empireor as it is known in our market, Godzilla and Kong: The New Empirecontinues today with the release of a new poster promoting Dolby features.

The poster, focused on the iconic kaiju, who will be forced to leave their quarrels behind to face common adversaries, can be found at the end of this note.

These new threats are Shimu, a titan that has slept for centuries, known as the strongest on the planet, the first titan to set foot on Earth, the original and first King of Monsters. And Skar King or Red Kong, an ancient beast King of the Hollow Earth who rivaled Kong's ancestors from Skull Island. He is described as a rogue titan of a species similar to Kong, taller and more aggressive. The film will mark the debut of both in the MonsterVerse.

The film is directed by Adam Wingardwho is back as director after directing the predecessor, GvK. The script was written by Simon Barrett (You’re Next, The Guest). Filming for Wingard took place primarily in Australia and Brazil, with locations also in Mexico, Hong Kong and Egypt.

The cast features the return of Rebecca Hall like Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry like Bernie Hayes, Kaylee Hottle (Godzilla v Kong), and new members Dan Stevens (The Guest, Gaslit, The Rental) playing the Trapper, Speak Chen (Irma Vep, Shang-Chi) y Rachel House.

This is a direct sequel to GvK. The climax of the latter suggests that there is a lot of material yet to be explored, such as seeing Kong in Hollow Earth.
