
The official trailer of the psychological thriller The Stranger in My Home It puts the idyllic lives of its protagonists upside down.
The project is starring Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill, The Hitcher, Grey’s Anatomy) y Chris Carmack (The O.C., Grey’s Anatomy), con Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes) y Chris Johnson (4400, 47 Meters Down).
The story follows Ali (Bush), her husband Jeff (Johnson) and her brilliant and living teenage daughter, Katie (Miller), the center of her life. When Tom Truby (Carmack) knocks on his door, life as they knew her ends. 15 years ago, someone exchanged Ali and Tom babies in the hospital. And now Ali faces the unthinkable: the daughter who brought home does not belong to her.
Official synopsis:
“Ali and her daughter Katie have a perfect life, until a stranger claims to be Katie's father. As secrets reveal, her obsession becomes dangerous, dragging them to a network of lies and fear.”
Jeff Fisher (The Image of You) direct the script written by Chris Sivertson (I Know Who Killed Me). It is an adaptation of the 2016 of Adele Parks.
The feature film was produced by Brad Krevoy, with executive producers Amanda Phillips, Vince Balzano, Garrett Vandusen, Kaan Karahan, Andrew Riach, David Wulff, and Jennifer Ricci.
Bush told Us Weekly about the project, “In essence, 'the stranger in my house' is about the unwavering link between a mother and her daughter, and how far a woman is able to protect her. It is suspense, emotional and addresses our deepest fears about trust and truth.”
In the same interview, Carmack joined declaring: “This film catches you from the first scene and does not release you. It is a thrilling adventure that will keep the public intrigued about where the truth ends and where lies begin. It is a thriller, yes, but also a deep immersion in the emotional consequences of confidence broken in a family. That is what makes it shocking.”
The Stranger in My Home It will have a Digital launch on June 24, 2025 con Republic Pictures.
