The cast of the new horror film project of Sony Pictures y Blumhouse Productions, titled They Listencontinues to add talent.
In addition to the signing of Lukita Maxwell (Shrinking), the film announces (via THR) the addition of Ricky Lindhome, whom we recently saw in the hit series Wednesday from Netflix, playing Dr. Valerie Kinbott, therapist to Jenna Ortega’s character, and the rest of the students at Nevermore Academy. Other of her credits include Knives Out, The Last House on the Left, The Wolf of Snow Hollowand the series Roar de Apple TV+.
Lindhome joins the previously confirmed protagonists John Cho (Searching, Don’t Make Me Go) y Katherine Waterston (Babylon, Alien: Covenant). Details of the role in charge of the newly announced have not been revealed. As for Maxwell’s, it was confirmed that she will play Cho and Waterston’s daughter.
Filming for the film is underway right now in Los Angeles, CA. The plot has not been released at the moment, we will follow the details closely.
They Listen is written and directed by Chris Weitzknown for directing American Pie, The Golden Compass, Twilight: New Moon, A Better Life, Operation Finaleand the one that earned him an Oscar nomination for best adapted screenplay, About a Boy.
Sony set its theatrical release for August 25, 2023.

- It marks the eleventh collaboration between Cho and Weitz; After small roles in a few movies and TV series, the actor gained notoriety as “the MILF guy” in the movie American Piethe wheat.
Jason Blum, Weitz, and Andrew Milano serve as producers on the film, with Bea Sequeira, Dan Balgoyen, Britta Rowings, and Paul Davis serving as executive producers.
