Undine «Ether» – oh, nothing beats the amalgamation of (dark) wave with shoegaze elements. Even “classic” shoegaze bands like Slowdive have always shown a darker side in their music, so that’s a good fit. The duo Undine from Arizona leans more clearly in the wave direction and has prepared a wonderful journey into the night with the new album «Ether». The drums and synths sound like 80s crypt disco, the vocals float above them. Very nicely done!

Shark Sorrow “Today Tomorrow” – while we’re on the subject of wave sounds – the current single by French singer Requin Chagrin is also pretty great again and hopefully makes you want a new album (last year’s was really good).
