FX has released a new promo spot for Season 16’s “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” giving fans a sneak peek at some of the characters that will appear in the new seasonincluding the actress of Cheers Rhea Perlman. Other characters that appear are Liam and Ryan McPoyle, played by Jimmy Simpson y Nate Mooney.
The gang “rips straight from the headlines: inflation, US-Russia relationsmental health, gender equalityinjury liability, gun control, and…celebrity brand products.” But there’s nothing sweet about them, as Mac, Charlie, Dennis, Dee, and Frank long for the past as they try to survive in 2023.”
This year alone, “Mac fights allergies and long-distance dating, Charlie confronts his forgotten sisters, Dee fights for rent control and women’s athletics, Frank fights for his gun, and Dennis struggle to improve your mental health. At the end of the day, they navigate 2023 with 16 years of baggage as some figures from their past rear their heads.”
“Breaking Bad” stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston will also appear in the series and could be seen in the first trailer to be released.
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is created by Rob McElhenney, who also plays Ronald “Mac” MacDonald. Joining him are Charlie Day as Charlie Kelly, Glenn Howerton as Dennis Reynolds, Kaitlin Olson as Dee Reynolds, and Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds.
The long-running comedy is scheduled for its return June 7th on FXX with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode each week thereafter. It will also be available to stream on Hulu.
