Ingredients
9 stale French breads
1 L of coconut milk
120 g smoked shrimp
100 g cashew nuts
100 g of peanuts
2 onions
half green pepper
1 tomato
Ginger (2.5 cm long and 1.5 cm wide)
cilantro to taste
600 ml of water
1 tablespoon of sugar
Palm oil to taste
Directions
- In a bowl, add 9 chopped stale breads;
- Add 1 L of coconut milk;
- Mix;
- Book for 10 minutes;
- In a blender, add 120 g of smoked shrimp;
- Add 100 g of cashew nuts;
- Add 100 g of peanuts;
- Add 2 sliced onions;
- Add half a green pepper;
- Add 1 tomato;
- Add Ginger (2.5 cm long and 1.5 cm wide);
- Add cilantro to taste;
- Add 600 ml of water;
- Beat for 10 minutes;
- Transfer to a pan;
- Crush the moistened bread;
- Add to the pan;
- Cook over medium heat, always mixing;
- Add 1 tablespoon of sugar;
- Add palm oil to taste;
- Mix;
- When it starts to unglue from the bottom of the pan, turn off the heat (approximately 15 minutes);
- Your Bahia vatapá is ready!
