The marketing campaign Wonka, continues to release promotional material, ahead of its release in theaters around the world in December. This being one of Warner Bros.’s high-profile projects that has not undergone any change in its release date, due to the Screen Actors Guild strike, which if it remains active, will not be able to count on the cast members for its promotion. .

The most recent is the second official full trailer, at the end of this note, which offers new glimpses of the long-awaited interpretation of Timothée Chalamet like Roald Dahl’s iconic character.

The film written and directed by Paul King (Paddington), is described by the filmmaker as “a companion piece” for the 1971 classic, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factorywhich starred Gene Wilder in one of his most important roles in the film mecca.

The Wonka story will focus specifically on a young Willy Wonka and how he met the Oompa-Loompa on one of his first adventures.

In addition to Wonka, the cast includes Hugh Grant como un Oompa Loompa, Keegan-Michael Key (The Prom), Rowan Atkinson (Johnny English, Mr. Bean), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Olivia Colman (The Favourite) playing the villain, Paterson Joseph (Vigil), Mathew Baynton (The Wrong Mans), y Matt Lucas (Paddington).

The director assured that Wonka will have musical performances, with original songs by Neil Hannon from The Divine Comedy.
