Check out this cornmeal bread that is easy and simple to make, using the following ingredients:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cornmeal

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a loaf pan or use baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly. Add the milk and oil, and mix well.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is incorporated. The dough will be thick and sticky.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before cutting and serving.
