A meeting for the history of surfing took place at Beyond The Club in Sao Paulo. Bringing together 14 world titles, Legends Kelly Slater (11) and Gabriel Medina (3) surfed side by side in the largest wave pool on the planet. The event marked a preview of what will be the club, scheduled to open in October 2025.

The structure is starring the Wavegarden pool, with 28,000 m² and capacity to generate more than 900 perfect waves per hour, faithfully replicating ocean conditions, from pipe to wave to beginners.

The club's actor and partner, Rodrigo Santoro, also participated in the session.

– An absolutely unforgettable day. Suddenly I am in Sao Paulo, sharing a session with Kelly and Medina into perfect waves. It's a huge privilege, ā€said Rodrigo Santoro.

Gabriel Medina, summed up the experience:

– Surfing a perfect wave in the middle of Sao Paulo, next to Kelly… It's hard to put in words – said the Brazilian surfer.

Beyond the Club proposes to be a welfare and high standard ecosystem. In addition to surfing, the complex will offer a skate park signed by Bob Burnquist, Beach Tennis courts, golf simulators, spa, coworking and other luxury amenities.

WSL Monitor Tsunami Alert in California

The World Surf League (WSL) closely monitors the climate situation in California, stage of Challenger Series, an access division for the world surfing elite. Due to Tsunami's warning, caused by an earthquake that hit East of Russia, the beaches of Huntington Beach, which host surfing disputes, were closed last Wednesday (30), but were already reopened by local authorities. The current WSL stage has a window scheduled until this Sunday (3), and is in break.

– Tsunami's warning was canceled to the California coast. The beaches, port and pier are now open – enjoy the sunset and stay safe! According to the National Tsunami Alert Center, a tsunami was generated by the earthquake near Russia, but does not threaten our area – wrote the Huntington Beach City Hall in an official statement.

After the reopening of the beaches, the surfers were able to do training and warming in the sea. The stage has 15 Brazilians, including Samuel Pupo, Ian Gouveia and Sophia Medina.
