We already have the first promotional looks at Mother Marythe most recent film project of David Lowerymarking a new collaboration with the independent film company, A24.
This is Lowery's third feature film with A24, after having made the films together The Green Knight y A Ghost Story.
The project is led by Anne Hathaway (The Idea of You, The Devil Wears Prada 2) yMichaela Coel (I May Destroy You, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), who-is we see in the official posters shared this morning by A24. The studio also informs us that the first trailer will be released tomorrow.
By the way, in the posters we notice that the film is scheduled to be released in theaters in April 2026. Take a look at the three posters at the end of the note.
The film, written and directed by Lowery, is described as a, “epic pop melodrama following a disgraced pop star (Hathaway) and her relationship with a reclusive, iconic fashion designer (Coel). The former collaborators are forced to team up again when Hathaway's character searches for wardrobe for her comeback tour.”
Hunter Schafer (Cuckoo, Euphoria) accompanies Hathaway and Coel in a supporting role, playing Coel's character's assistant.
Jack Antonoff, Charli XCX y FKA Twigs They participate with original songs for the film, while Daniel Hart is in charge of the original soundtrack.
Lowery, Tobe halbroks and James M. Johnston Prodided to Jeiie from Homebird Producers and Jonas Katzenstein, Maximilian Leo and Jonathhan Saubach.
He Filming took place in Germany.
