“We all live through seemingly mundane routines as we perceive subtle signs that something is not right in the world, and although they may seem like small fragments, they reflect a deeper reality. The endless corridor could be a purgatory that confronts us with our faults, or perhaps a metaphorical womb that reflects our eternal return. Do we ignore these signs and get lost in a world with no way out? Or do we recognize them and turn towards the light? Whether we know it or not, these are decisions we make every day.”
Exit 8 It is the first of two horror films releasing in 2026 that address the theme of liminal spaces. The other is Backrooms from A24, which hits theaters in May, and adapts the creepypasta The Backrooms.
