Bill Hader is ready to debut as a feature film director, and he will do so with the horror project They Know. In addition to directing, Hader will be the screenwriter and co-star.

The most recent news announces the incorporation of Linda Cardellini in a co-starring role, while production begins in Los Angeles (via Deadline).

The outlet also mentions a synopsis of the film, which “centers on a divorced father (Hader) who begins to suspect that his ex-wife (Cardellini) is secretly dating a mysterious man who is having a strange influence on his children.”

This will be another participation of Cardellini in the horror genre; the actress starred The Curse of La Llorona (2019), and the prequel series Friday the 13th soon to be released Crystal Lakeplayed Jason's mother, Mrs. Voorhees. Cardellini's other projects include the miniseries DTF St. Louis of HBO, which aired its finale in recent days, the series No Good Deed y Dead to Me the Netflix, Hawkeye from Disney+, among others.

Media Rights Capital finances Hader's feature film, which is based on an original idea by Hader and Duffy Boudreauhis collaborator on the acclaimed HBO series, Barry.

Producers include Hader and Bob Graff, with Alyssa Donovan serving as co-producer.
