In movie news that no one saw coming, Warner Bros. announced having put a remake of the film is underway Westworld by Michael Crichtonwhich was released in theaters in 1973, and served as inspiration for the subsequent 2016 HBO series of the same name.

To the dismay of the audience, the series was canceled by HBO in 2022, after four seasons on the air, and was subsequently removed from the HBO Max catalog.
