Denis Villeneuve y Timothée Chalametpresented a new trailer for one of the premieres of Warner Bros. y Legendary Highest profile of 2026: Dune: Part Threehe “final epic” from the science fiction trilogy.
The filmmaker and actor revealed the latest look in front of an audience and press, at an event held this morning in Los Angeles, with simulcast by IMAX in key locations such as Chicago, Dallas, Toronto, Montreal, London, Berlin, Mexico City and Abu Dhabi.
Co-writer and director Villeneuve has made it clear that the first two films complete his version of the story adapting the sci-fi epic by Frank Herbertwhile the third installment will offer an epilogue which draws heavily on Herbert's first sequel, the novel Dune Messiah.
Directed by Villeneuve and with a script written by Villeneuve y Brian K. Vaughan, Dune: Part Threegives us the epic conclusion of Dune on big screen.
The film has a cast headed by Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach De Bankolé, Jason Momoacon Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson y Javier Bardemand introduces new talents Nakoa-Wolf Momoa e Ida Brooke.
Dune: Part Three will follow an exhausted Emperor Paul Atreides, 17 years after the events of the second part, as he struggles with the consequences of his holy war. Paul has the gift of seeing the future, but his mind has become clouded since he took control of the galaxy.
And Paul has a new adversary in Robert Pattinson as Scytale, a shapeshifter who wants to dethrone the emperor. “We plan to attack the core of imperial power,” says Scytale, making it clear that he seeks nothing less than regime change.

Dune: Part Three includes sequences recorded with IMAX camerasa format whose relevance continues to rise. WB releases it in theaters and in IMAX on December 18, 2026.
