Ingredients
500 grams of cassava flour
300 grams of low-fat bacon
200 grams of butter or margarine
4 garlic cloves
2 onions
Salt to taste
Directions
- Melt the butter or margarine in a pan and add the chopped onions and bacon.Â
Sauté until golden, stirring occasionally.Â
Add the crushed garlic cloves and sauté for another 2 minutes without stopping stirring. - Add the cassava flour, salt to taste and stir constantly for 1 minute, until the farofa is slightly toasted.
- Turn off the heat, wait for the bacon farofa to cool at room temperature if you prefer and the recipe is ready to serve.
