With filming in an active stage for a few days in London, news about the sequel continues to arrive Beetlejuice 2 of Tim Burton and the study Warner Bros.
From the filming set, the Daily Mail UK published some paparazzi photos to the Unofficial First Look at Winona Ryder Returning as Lydia Deetzthe character he played 35 years ago, in the cult classic Beetlejuice (1988).

The sequel features the returns of not only Ryder, but also Michael Keaton y Catherine O’Hara, reprising their roles from the 1988 cult classic, and new additions, Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI) playing the daughter of Ryder’s Lydia Deetz, Justin Theroux (The Leftovers, The Mosquito Coast) in a role that has not been detailed, Monica Bellucci (Malena, The Passion of the Christ, Maffia Mamma), giving life to Beetlejuice’s wife, and Willem Dafoe (The Northman, Asteroid City, Spider-Man: No Way Home) playing a law enforcement officer in the afterlife.
Danny Elfman he also returns as composer of the original soundtrack.
Burton to direct from Mike Vukadinovich’s script, with drafts by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg. Burton, Katzenberg, and Grahame-Smith produce the feature.
Not much is known about the plot at the moment, except that Beetlejuice will return to cause more fun trouble.
The original film followed the spirits of a deceased couple who are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their house. The pair hire a malicious spirit in Beetlejuice to drive them out. Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin, Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O’Hara starred in the film, which grossed more than $75 million at the global box office.
Other producers include Tommy Harper, Plan B, Marc Toberoff, and David Geffen.
WB set the film to be released in theaters on September 6, 2024.
