Lionsgate y Roadside Atrractions acquired direct from TIFF's Midnight Madness, the action thriller Boy Kills Worldfrom the producers Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) y Roy Lee (IT, Doctor Sleep).

According to Deadline reports, the film stars Bill Skarsgård (IT, Barbarian), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Defending Jacob, Anatomy of a Scandal), Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day, La La Land), Miss Janssen (X-Men, Locked In), Sharlto Copley (District 9, Beast), Isaiah Mustafa (IT: Chapter Two, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments), Andrew Who (Snake Eyes), and the twins Cameron y Nicholas Crovetti (Goodnight Mommy, Big Little Lies).

The studies established the April 26, 2024 as the release date of the project directed by Moritz Mohr from the script of Arend Remmers (Sløborn) y Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie).

The feature film is described as a “one-of-a-kind action spectacle, set in a dreamlike, dystopian and feverish reality.”

SYNOPSIS:

“Boy (Bill Skarsgård) is a deaf with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes into the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childhood imagination and become an instrument of death.

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) gave it an R Rating for:

“Strong bloody violence and gore throughout, language, some drug use and sexual references.”
