Films coming out in 2024: here are the best

The new year has been underway for a month now, even if we sincerely hope the first one was only a trial…. also because if it will be the same for the next 11 years, we can go straight to 2025. Luckily cinema exists and there are many films coming out for 2024. The list of the most anticipated includes big names in direction and performance (as well as that of films Marvel coming out in 2024: succulent but skimpy) and we, personally, can't wait to see especially three of them… Guess which ones!

Without further ado, let's see here the most anticipated films coming out in cinemas in 2024.

Poor Things: out January 25, 2024

Yorgos Lanthimos, one of the directors most appreciated by cinephiles, finally returns to direct what many say is a masterpiece. Lanthimos, 6 years after that wonderful one “The favourite” directs Emma Stonetelling the story of Bella Baxteran incredible woman, brought back to life by the very unorthodox Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe)in all its unpredictability, caused by the brain of one's fetus implanted in the head.

The Warrior – The Iron Claw: out February 1, 2024

Zac Efronreturns to theaters under the direction of Sean Durkin, completely transformed, to play the great Wrestler Kevin From Erich telling how, thanks to the indissoluble bond with his brother Kerry (none other than Jeremy Allen White), made history in the competitive world of wrestling in the 1980s. Inside Out 2: from 14 June 2024

On the sequel to the much loved film 2015 Pixar, we still know very little. Except that Pixar's plans are to release it in June 2024 in the USA. We poor Italian creatures still don't know when this most anticipated animated film is arriving. What is certain is that we can't wait to see the protagonist Riley grown up, together, unfortunately, with her new emotions. In fact, alongside the feelings of a little girl (such as joy, anger, sadness, fear and disgust), there will be the characteristic emotions of a person who inevitably discovers the brutality of the world: boredom, envy, embarrassment and anxiety. In the teaser trailer we really see anxiety enter the field, defined by the director Kelsey Mann like social anxiety. “There are many types of anxiety (…) but we are focusing on the desire to fit in and feel part of a group”. A perfect reading of the adolescent (and not only) problems linked to social anxiety. Let's hope June arrives soon!

Deadpool 3: from July 26, 2024

After the release of the official synopsis of the film in recent days, reporting: “That irresponsible Deadpool will change the history of Marvel together with Wolverine.” we are now in possession of the first description of the teaser trailer, which will report an almost certain appearance of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and the quiet life of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) who, after abandoning the life of a superhero, has dedicated himself to the quiet sale of Automobiles. What can I say guys, we can't wait for July to arrive, and this time not just for the summer holidays.

Past Lives: one of the most anticipated films coming out in 2024.

The directorial debut, with a bang, of Celine Song door into the rooms Past Lives, as well as the story of Norma Moon (Greta Lee) it's Hea Sung (Teo Yoo), two childhood friends now twenty-four years old forced to contemplate the nature of their relationship due to the different paths that life puts in front of their paths. Joker: Folie à Deux – October 2, 2024

Joaquin Phoenix returns to theaters with the character that earned him the well-deserved Oscar in 2020, in the company of none other than Lady Gaga. The latter will bring an alternative version of the fabulous one to the field Harley Quinn by Margot Robbie, again under the direction of Phillips. We don't have the official plot yet, but we know that Joker 2 will be a musical set in the famous criminal asylum where Arthur Fleck spent his time – Arkham.

N.B: Joker 2, with the working title Folie à Deux (two-up madness to recall the sense of obsession and infection between the two lovers), it is the first film based on a DC comic to be filmed as a musical.

Dune 2: from February 28, 2024

And here we are, last but not least, one of the most anticipated films of the year. Here's the synopsis: “Paul Atreides rallies behind Chani and the Fremen as he plots his revenge against those who destroyed his family. He must do everything to prevent a terrible future that only he can predict.” With the direction of Denis Villenueveas well as one of the best directors around, who many still have to understand to appreciate, the ensemble cast of the first film is confirmed, starring Timothée Chalamet flanked again by Rebecca Ferguson e Zendaya. The best science fiction novel is returning to theaters, and this time Paul will also ride the sandworm. What can I say, you have understood which one we are waiting for the most, right?
