Ingredients
1 chayote peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons of oil
2 minced garlic cloves
4 tablespoons of water
1/2 chopped onion
Chimichurri to taste
Green smell to taste
Saffron to taste
Salt to taste
Directions
- Peel the chayote, remove the core if you prefer, cut the vegetable into cubes and set aside.
- In a pan over medium heat, add oil, chopped onion, chopped garlic and saute.
- Add the chopped chayote and mix very well.Â
Season with saffron, salt and chimichurri. - Reduce the heat and continue to cook for a few minutes, always mixing the ingredients well.
- Add the water and mix everything.Â
Cover the pan and cook over low heat for 3 minutes. - After the water dries, finish with chopped green smell and the braised chayote is ready.
