Corn Curau is that kind of simple and delicious dessert that tastes like a festa junina!
Hard to resist this irresistible corn curau!
3 cups of milk (approximately 750ml)
2 cans of green corn
2 full tablespoons of corn starch
1 can of condensed milk
1 pinch of salt
Cinnamon powder to taste
- Drain the green corn and transfer to the blender, add the milk and blend for between 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the cornstarch and beat some more.
Strain the liquid mixture through a sieve into a pan and discard the corn husk.
- Add condensed milk and a pinch of salt.
Place over medium to high heat and cook, stirring constantly.
Lower the heat when it comes to a boil and keep stirring until the mixture is very creamy.
- Turn off the heat and transfer the creamy mixture to a container or platter of your choice and sprinkle ground cinnamon on top to taste.
- Leave the dessert in the fridge for at least 4 hours, until it has a firmer and creamy consistency, and then serve the corn curau.
