Jeff Mills presents Fritz Lang’s Metropolis // Summer stage at the Panometer // 10:00 p.m

OMG, two years after his incredibly great live setting of the silent film classic “The Woman in the Moon”, Detroit techno legend returns to Leipzig. This year he’s taking on another Fritz Lang classic: Metropolis. He had already released an album for it in 1999 – this year there was a re-work “Metropolis Metropolis” with electronic and acoustic instruments. So it’s getting a bit more experimental, somewhere between classic film score, jazz and ambient.
