‘Deadpool 3’ stops filming as a result of the SAG strike #SAGStrike – Cine3.com

filming of Deadpool 3 stopped on friday morningafter becoming official SAG-AFTRA (Actors Union) strikewith guild members joining the WGA (Writers Guild) strike by picketing nearby Netflix, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Disney.

The filming of the Marvel and Disney project is carried out by the director Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, The Adam Project, Free Guy). The sequel will be the first installment in the saga to be released by the Walt Disney Company, following its acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019, although this will not alter the R-Rated that has characterized the saga, according to statements by Levy and the co-writers Rhett Reese y Paul Wernick (Deadpool y Deadpool 2, Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap, Ghosted).

The premiere of Deadpool 3 is scheduled for a May 3, 2024 release in theaters, a goal that is now in jeopardy due to the interruption of filming.
