France announced the 26 players who will represent the country in this year's World Cup. Finalist in the last two editions of the tournament, the French team practically repeats the proportion of renewal and continuity in search of another world decision. In 2022, coach Didier Deschamps called up 10 athletes from the 2018 champion squad — there would be eleven, if it weren't for N'Golo Kanté's injury. Now, he will take eleven remnants of the runner-up in Qatar to North America.

The “repeated figures” on the French list are Lucas Hernández (PSG), Theo Hernández (Al-Hilal), Ibrahima Konaté (Liverpool), Jules Koundé (Barcelona), William Saliba (Arsenal), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), Adrien Rabiot (Milan), Aurélien Tchouaméni (Real Madrid), Ousmane Dembélé (PSG), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) and Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan).
Victorious quartet on the list
Four players in this week's squad were world champions in Russia in 2018: defender Lucas Hernández, midfielder K'Golo Kanté and attackers Ousmane Dembelé and Kylian Mbappé. Of these, only Kanté did not also play in the 2022 World Cup. The coach, Didier Deschamps, commands the Blues since the 2014 World Cup, held in Brazil.

The continuity of the French generation, once again one of the favorites for the world title, is symbolized by Mbappé. The Real Madrid star impressed the world on his tournament debut at the age of 19. In the following edition, he did not lift the trophy, but made history with a hat-trick against winners Argentina in the final. Now, at 27, he will play his third World Cup already keeping an eye on the record for top scorer.
