The return of the franchise Scary Movie promised mock politics, woke culture, and “cross all lines” and that's exactly what they're doing in the latest official trailer, in which neither the King of Pop, Michael Jacksonis saved.
The preview, shared by Paramount Pictures this morning, chooses to parody Michael, using the controversy that has long tarnished his public image: accusations of child abuse. The trailer begins showing images of Kenan Thompson (Kenan & Kel, Saturday Night Live) characterized as the King of Pop inside a recording studio, while the text shows the following: “For generations, only one artist has truly touched his fans.”. Incidentally, this is the third time that the pop star has been parodied in the franchise, with a character imitating MJ (played by Edward Moss) having appeared in Scary Movie 3 y Scary Movie 4.
The most recent trailer is also released in the same week as premieres in theaters Michaelthe biopic about the singer, directed by Antoine Fuqua. The advance is accompanied by a new official poster that continues the mockery of Jackson with a wild slogan that holds nothing back.
