For your hummus to be very tasty, you will need to write down the necessary ingredients and follow the step-by-step preparation method.
Ingredients
250g dried chickpeas (1 cup)
50g tahini (2 tablespoons)
5g peeled garlic (1 large clove)
15g lemon juice (15ml | 1 tbsp)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Sumac or sumac to taste for serving (optional)
Extra virgin olive oil to taste for serving
Directions
- In a bowl, add 250g of dried chickpeas (1 cup);
- Add 2 liters of water;
- Soak for at least 8 hours (we leave for 24 hours);
- Discard the water;
- Wash the chickpeas;
- In a pressure cooker, add the chickpeas;
- Add 2/3 of the pot of water;
- Cook over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes after getting pressure;
- Turn off the fire;
- Wait for it to cool down;
- Drain the chickpeas (reserve the water);
- Remove the husk from the beans to make the hummus softer (optional);
- In a blender, add the chickpeas;
- Add 50g of tahini (2 tbsp);
- Add 5g of peeled garlic (1 large clove);
- Add 15g of lemon juice (15 ml | 1 tbsp);
- Add salt to taste;
- Add black pepper to taste;
- Bata;
- Add some of the cooking water;
- Mix;
- Beat again (add more water if necessary);
- Add Sumac or sumac to taste (optional);
- Add extra virgin olive oil to taste;
- Your Hummus (Chickpea Paste with Tahini) is ready!
