Two sisters. A murder. And a dead husband.
Prime Video revealed the official trailer of his next miniseries, The Better Sisterstarring Jessica Biel (Sinner) y Elizabeth Banks (Cocaine Bear). In our market it is titled The best sister.
The advance is a mixture of a mystery of murder and a lot of family drama, with Biel and Banks playing two distanced sisters, Chloe Taylor (Biel) and Nicky Macintosh (Banks), who, despite carrying opposite lives, must join when Chloe's husband is killed.
The limited series is also starring Matthew Modine (Zero Day, Stranger Things), Corey Stoll (Billions, House of Cards), Maxwell Acee Donovan (That ‘90s Show), Kim Dickens (Fear the Walking Dead, House of Cards), Michael Harney (Orange is the New Black), Gloria Reuben (Mr. Robot, is), y Lorraine Toussaint (The Equalizer, Your Honor).
Chloe is a successful executive married to lawyer Adam (Stoll). Both have a teenage son, Ethan (Donovan). For his part, Nicky struggles to stay sober.
In case a murder was not enough and to further complicate things, Nicky is also Adam's ex and Ethan's biological mother.
In the trailer we see Chloe discover Adam murdered at home, which makes Ethan, she already Nicky at the Center for Media Care, already Ethan in suspects of her father's murder. Although the sisters must remain united after the event while fighting to discover the truth after Adam's murder, they must also face persistent secrets and a complex family history.
The series explores “The terrible things that separate the sisters and, finally, reunite them.”
Follow Chloe (Jessica Biel), a high -profile media executive who lives a picturesque life with her handsome Adam lawyer (Corey Stoll) and her teenage son Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan) by her side, while her separate sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) struggles to reach the end of the month and stay clean.
The Miniseries consists of 8 episodes and is based on the Bestseller book by Alafair Burke.
Olivia milk (Ocean’s 8) and run corrido (Mayor of Kingstown) are the showrunners and executive producers. Craig Gillespie is the director and executive producer, with Annie Marter as executive producer. Biel, Banks, Michelle Pruple, Kerry Ontent, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner, are the other executive producers.
