FX continues the marketing campaign of the fifth season of the anthology limited series, FARGOcreated by Noah Hawleywith a new teaser.
The new season’s plot features a new cast and characters ready to unravel other mysteries, and is set in Minnesota and North Dakota in 2019, focusing on Dorothy “Dot” Lyon (Juno Temple), a Midwestern housewife with a mysterious past who is now on the run from the police.
This specific new promo focuses on Gator Tillman (Joe Keery), a charming handsome young man, just as the snake in the garden was. He is a sapling struggling to grow in the shade of an oak tree, desperate to prove himself to his father, Roy Tillman (Jon Hamm), the North Dakota sheriff/rancher/preacher, in the absence of a mother’s love.
You can find the promo at the end of this note.
Roy seeks out Dot, who has kept her past hidden from her husband Wayne (David Rysdahl) and her mother-in-law Lorraine (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Of course, it doesn’t help that Lorraine is the CEO of the largest debt collection agency in the country and she has always been suspicious of Dot’s intentions.
Other characters include the vagabond Ole Munch (Sam Spruell), Minnesota Police Officer Indira Olmstead (Richa Moorjani), North Dakota Police Officer Witt Farr (Lamorne Morris), and Lorraine’s legal advisor (Dave Foley).
