During the afternoon of this Wednesday, news related to the highly anticipated next installment of the MCU began to circulate on the networks.
According to leaks from Hollywood industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, the multifaceted Lady Gaga would be making the jump to Marvel, apparently with a role in Avengers: Doomsdaywhose theatrical release is scheduled for December 17 of this year.
The report does not reveal what role Gaga would be playing, however, the same source previously reported that the singer and actress met with Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, to discuss a possible role in the superhero franchise.
¿WHAT ROLE COULD LADY GAGA BE PLAYING IN THE MCU?
While some unofficial sources report that the pop legend has been chosen to play Cynthia Von Doom is Avengers: Doomsdaythe mother of the main villain, Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr. on her return to the MCU) in a cameo with flashbacks, and even with a ballad written for the film, the truth is that there is a wide variety of characters that could be played by the artist.
Perhaps taking a look at the list of upcoming Marvel projects could offer clues.
If it were not about Avengers: Doomsday o Secret Warsand we were talking about some of the films announced for 2028 —Black Panther 3the reboot of X-Men y Ghost Rider— the most obvious answer could target the mutant Dazzlerknown for being a pop star in the Marvel canon for a role in X-Men; to join Ghost Rider —with Ryan Gosling as the protagonist—, Gaga could take on the role of Roxanne Simpsonwhich was previously characterized by Eva Mendes. In the comics, Roxane has a son, Blackheart, with Mephisto. The latter was already introduced in the MCU, so it could be a plot to explore.
Lastly, there is also the possibility that Gaga plays an original role created for the franchise.
Gaga's film projects include A Star is Born —for which she was nominated for an Oscar for best actress, in addition to winning it for best original song—, House of Gucci, Joker: Folie a Deuxwhile this year he had a cameo in the sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The film directed by brothers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, will be the 39th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the fifth of the Avengers and the seventh of Phase Six of the MCU.
The Russo brothers direct Doomsday with script Stephen McFeely (Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier). The filmmakers will also direct the next Avengers installment, Secret Wars.
The filming of Doomsday was made in London in 2025. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is producing the feature alongside Anthony and Joe Russo's AGBO, Louis D'Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz. Callum McDougall is executive producer.
