Scott Derrickson (The Black Phone, Sinister, Doctor Strange) returns this year with an Apple original action-romance thriller, titled The Gorge.
The marketing campaign started this week, with the first official looks at the protagonists, Miles Teller (Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick) y Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa, The Menu), shared by the IGN media and official Apple Original Films accounts. The other leading member of the cast is Sigourney Weaver (Alien) who does not appear in the promos.

Derrickson directs the feature film from a script by Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War).
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“Teller and Taylor-Joy play two snipers in watchtowers on opposite sides of a massive gorge, and the location between them remains highly classified. Your mission is to protect the outside world from a dark force lurking within.
“They join together from a distance as they try to stay alert to defend themselves against an invisible enemy. When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it is too late.”
In a statement to IGN, Derrickson revealed that the film “mixes multiple genres: romance, science fiction, action, spy thriller and even horror. The idea was to first invest a lot of time in the backstories and evolving connection between the two characters played by Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy, and then see them in survival mode amid the relentless and unpredictable dangers and mysteries of the game itself. defile.”
The project is a collaboration between Apple Original Films and Skydance.
The rest of the cast is made up of William Houston, Samantha Coughlan, Julianna Kurokawa, Alessandro Garcia y Greta Hansen.
