20th Century Studios continues to prepare audiences for the premiere of Alien: Romulusthe new installment of the saga Aliendirected and co-written by Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead), which will hit theaters next August.
Thus, the studio shares a new image look at the protagonist of this story, Cailee Spaeny (Civil War, Priscilla, Devs), who plays Rain Carradine, and David Johnson (Industry) as Andy, Rain's adoptive brother.
Álvarez tells Empire about this:
“When his father was dying, he left Andy as a kind of caregiver,” Álvarez explains of the dynamic between the two. “But Andy is a little damaged and he is an older model. So, more than a surrogate father, he becomes a little brother to her. And that was always the heart of the story: this relationship between the two… and how that relationship develops once shit hits the fan.”
You can find a look at both at the end of this note.
In addition to Spaeny and Jonsson, the cast includes Isabela Merced (Instant Family, Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Archie Renaux (Upgraded, The Other Zoey), Spike Fearn (After sun), y Aileen Wu.
