Simple Cornmeal Cake Recipe

1/2 cup (tea) of oil
1 cup (tea) warm milk
1 cup cornmeal (sifted)
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup sifted wheat flour (sifted)
1 tablespoon of baking powder for cake
1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar
- Add the eggs and sugar to the mixer and beat until creamy.
Add the oil and beat some more.
Then add the sifted wheat flour and cornmeal, baking powder and mix well with a spoon.
- Add salt, warm milk and mix a little more so that the dough is smooth and uniform.
Pour the cake batter into a greased and floured pan.
- Preheat the oven to 230º₢ and bake the cake for approximately 25 minutes, or until the cake is set on the inside and lightly browned on the outside.
- Wait for the cake to cool to room temperature before unmolding, cut the pieces as you wish and the simple cornmeal cake is ready.
