Craig Mazin y Neil Druckmann They are the co-creators of the series, with Mazin also as showrunner. Peter Pascal y Bella Ramsey They play the leading roles as Joel and Ellie, respectively.

It is expected that season 2 adapts the second video game of the franchise. This is what Mazin commented prior to the strikes about the plans to ELEPHANT:

“We will do some things exactly as they were in the game. We’re going to do some other things that are in the game and we’re going to do some things that are in the game, but we’re going to do them differently in our own method.. It doesn’t matter if you’ve played the game or not. You will be surprised as the season progresses. We have some interesting twists and turns.”

It was previously specified that the filming of season 2 will take place in Vancouver, since much of the history of the video game The Last of Us Part II –which will be the basis for the plot of the second season– is set in the Pacific Northwest.
