Since the beginning of the pandemic and with the massive closure of cinemas around the world, a trend of consuming cinema at home started, which became the audience’s favorite place to view content.

Now, with theaters reopening in most markets, the trend continues, and it’s up to us to report the rankings of the most downloaded, purchased, rented or viewed films –as appropriate– in streaming services y VOD platforms as Apple TV/iTUNES, Google Play, Vudu, y Netflix.

In the most recent rankings, corresponding to the third week of November 2022 (via IndieWire), the following stands out:

  • Paramount Pictures debuted on PVOD its surprise original horror hit, Smile, this after 45 days have elapsed since its exhibition in theaters. Contrary to what the vast majority of us might have assumed about its arrival on the VOD listings, Smile it failed to win over audiences at home, placing first only on Vudu. The film has probably been affected by the fact that it is available on Paramount Plus, a streamer that has more than 46 million subscribers in the United States. This is one of the theories.
  • Top Gun: Maverickalso from Paramount, continues to perform strongly on the charts, reaching the Top 5 on three of them.
  • Bullet Train from Sony Pictures is also positioned within the top 5.
  • In Maverick in Bullet Train They are not yet available to be viewed in any streaming.
  • Halloween Ends de Universal Pictures, Lamborghini: The Man and the Legend, y R.I.P.D. 2: The Rise of the Damneddebuted in the rankings.

Before moving on to the most recent lists, we share the reports published on the site, which correspond to the period from March 2020 to date:
