According to reports from Deadline, the spinoff is beginning to take shape with the recently announced signing of three members of the original series, Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn y Lauren Lapkuswho have already signed “talent retention contracts” with the Warner Bros. Television studio to star in the television project.

Sussman debuted in the second season as Stuart, the comic book store owner, with recurring appearances until becoming a series regular from seasons 8 to 12. Posehn first appeared as Bert, the CalTech geology expert in season 6 in a guest star role, the same role she held in season 7, and a recurring role in season 10. Finally, Lapkus played a recurring role as Denise, Stuart's assistant at the comic book store and his girlfriend, in the last two seasons.

The spinoff remains in the early stages of development. The script continues to be written. Chuck Lorreco-creator and executive producer of The Big Bang Theoryis in charge of this new project.

It is believed that Sussman, Posehn and Lapkus to lead proposed spinoffwhich according to rumors would have three protagonists: two men and a woman, reflecting the initial proposal of the main series, which began with three protagonists (played by Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco) before evolving into a true ensemble comedy .

The Big Bang Theory debuted on CBS in 2007, and ran for a total of 279 episodes and 12 seasons, becoming the longest-running multi-camera comedy in television history.
