The popular animated franchise DreamWorks AnimationShrek, returns next year with a new sequel, Shrek 5.
The studio published an official teaser trailer, which anticipates a new and exciting adventure for the beloved ogre.
The preview reveals that Shrek, along with his family and Donkey, will travel to a new kingdom known as Far Far Far Away, although at the moment it is not clear the reason that takes them there, but what is clear is the resemblance to the Kingdom Far Far Away from Shrek 2. We also get a look at a dirty, melted snowman, which nods to Olaf from Frozen from Disney, asking Donkey in a terrifying tone of voice if “Do you want to make a doll?” in the most faithful style of the franchise Shrek. The clan is then hunted down by the police and imprisoned for unknown reasons.

The cast features the returns of original stars, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphyy Cameron Diazas the voices in their original language of Shrek, Donkey and Fiona, respectively. New additions include Zendaya (The Drama, Euphoria), Marcello Hernandez (Saturday Night Live) y Skyler Gisondo (Superman), lending their voices to Felicia, Fergus and Farkle, triplet children of Shrek and Fiona, whom we met in the third film.
For the Mexican dubbing (and the rest of Latin America), they return Eugenio Derbez like donkey, Sweet Warrior like Fiona, Eduardo Garza like Pinocchio and Mario Filius like a Magic Mirror, with Erika Ugalde debuting in the saga as Felicia. The advance also confirms that Alfonso Obregón will no longer be the voice of Shrekafter differences with the creatives. It has not been revealed who takes his place, although we can hear the new voice in the preview.
Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Madagascar 2) y Walt Dohrn (saga Trolls) direct Shrek 5 next to Brad Ableson (Minions: The Rise of Gru). The script was written by Michael McCullers (The Boss Baby).
Dohrn wrote the script for Shrek 2 y Shrek the Thirdhe was also the writer of the history of Shrek Forever After. In the latter he voiced Rumpelstiltskin, with Vernon lending his voice to Ginberbread Man in all installments.
Gina Shay (saga Trolls) y Chris Meldandri (Despicable Me, The Super Mario Bros. Movie) produce the new delivery.
