For this Canned Corn Cake to be very tasty, use the ingredients below, following the step-by-step preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of green corn (approximately 200g)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter and flour.
  • Drain the canned corn and place in a blender. 
    Add eggs, sugar and vegetable oil. 
    Beat everything until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, sift the wheat flour and baking powder. 
    Add a pinch of salt and mix well.
  • Pour the liquid mixture from the blender into the bowl with the dry ingredients. 
    Stir gently with a spoon or spatula until the dough is well combined.
  • Pour the dough into the previously greased mold and smooth the surface with the back of a spoon.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely before unmolding.
