The creators of the TransCentury Update Festival invite you to open our hearts. This very special festival around the UT Connewitz has been enriching Leipzig’s music culture since 2016. And we are happy to present it as a media partner.
An exciting and musically diverse line-up awaits you over four days in various venues in the south of Leipzig. The organizers are keen to bring fresh acts to Leipzig that have rarely or never been seen or heard here. The booking is complemented with a keen eye on the local scene. There’s a lot of new things to discover this long weekend. In keeping with this year’s festival motto: Open Your Heart. It’s about overcoming genre boundaries, penetrating unknown musical spheres, being surprised and giving the unknown a chance.
Musically, everything is included in the TransCentury Update. From Japanese neo-folk fusion (Mitsune), percussive electro-post-punk (Chris Imler), electronica/afrobeat (Odd Okoddo) to sun-spectacled Berlin synthpop (Fuffifufzich). A scrappy post-punk departure awaits us with Bar Italia and also KOKOKO! As one of the last confirmed acts, it promises to be explosive.
The local (DJ) scene is also not neglected with Tinkah, Solaris, Judith Crasser and DJ Yum Yum.
