He Writers Guild (WGA; Writers Guild of America) recognized the best of film and television of the year 2023, during its annual gala held at the Hollywood Palladium for the West Coast, and the Edison Ballroom in New York for the East Coast ceremony.

The WGA Awards or WGA Awards gave awards to American Fiction as best adapted screenplay (Cord Jefferson), to The Holdovers as the best original screenplay (David Hemingson), while in the television sector Succession it won best drama and best drama episode. As for the comedy category, this one went to The Bearand limited series for Beef. New series took it The Last of Us.

  • HBO/Max led the night's biggest winners with 5 awards, followed by Netflix with 3.
