Ingredients
1 kg chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1–2 teaspoons cracked black pepper (to taste)
1 teaspoon honey (optional, for balance)
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels (this helps them get crispy).
- In a bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the tray.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
- While the wings cook, mix melted butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, and honey (if using) in a bowl.
- Once wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and toss immediately with the lemon pepper sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra lemon zest if desired. Serve hot.
